Arnold is a charming mountain town at 4,000 in elevation, located in the Stanislaus National Forest on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada. Beautiful mountain scenery and multiple good restaurants including neighborhood coffee shop, Bistro Espresso, make shopping here an enjoyable pastime.

Cedar Center, with its summer outdoor concerts, means you can shop here in the daytime, enjoy dinner at one of multiple restaurants and catch live music on the stage under towering pines and conifers most summer evenings. Head just a couple of miles out of town to enjoy the White Pines Lake next to the fascinating Sierra Nevada Logging Museum at the trail head to the Arnold Rim Trail. Be sure to check out the beautiful new visitors center & gift shop at the Calaveras Big Trees State Park.
