The Bear Valley Cat Skiing program offers the opportunity to ski some of the best-untracked powder skiing in the Central Sierra. Bear Valley can receive some of the best snow in the Central Sierra without any of the typical Tahoe crowds. Cat days offer a unique guided backcountry experience into rarely skied areas away from the crowds. The private cat skiing tours are perfect for those who are chasing powder, want rarely skied terrain, or just want to extend their season. Set up as private groups for you and your friends, in order to maximize your skiing, without the hassles of having another party slow down your day.Backcountry skiing
A typical day of Bear Valley Cat Skiing starts before the ski resort opens. Their team of guides and patrollers meets to assess avalanche conditions and decide where the best snow will be found. Then a quick meet and greet with the day’s skiers lead to an orientation of the machine and the terrain. They then head out to Bear Valley backcountry to beat the crowds for a better experience in our climate-controlled cab. They ski until mid-day when they break for a lunch on the snow. After a chance to recoup then they get back to all the goods the Mokelumne Valley has to offer.
Despite being a private program this offers one of the most reasonably priced skiing programs in the country. Click here for pricing
