Calaveras County information:

The County of Calaveras is asking our visitors to respect our community and not visit us at this time. Our healthcare facilities lack the capacity to handle a widespread outbreak of COVID-19. Most public spaces are temporarily closed and services to the local community remain limited.

The CDC, WHO and the state of California government officials are recommending social distancing, and Calaveras County might seem like the perfect place for that, but the reality is that doing so right now risks lives. The county asks all residents, be it in your home or cabin, to abide by the Governor’s Stay at Home Executive Order as well as following the necessary health requirements set out by these organizations.

If we all work together during this public health crisis, we’ll all be able to enjoy all that Calaveras has to offer in a responsible and respectful way sooner rather than later.

NOTE: The Calaveras Visitors Bureau information center office is closed to the public. However, our remote staff are available to assist remotely by phone, and email, 7 days a week during regular business hours Monday – Saturday 9:30am-4:30pm, and Sunday, 10am-4pm.)
