Lava Bluffs Guided Hike

Join us at the Lava Bluffs Trailhead at Calaveras Big Trees State Park at 9:30am for a guided hike on a moderately strenuous trail full of wildflowers. This 3-mile trail meanders through forests, chaparral, geological formations, and seasonal wildflowers in open fields. Please come prepared with bug spray, sunscreen, long pants for poison oak, sturdy shoes, and plenty of water. Please note, there are no giant sequoias along this trail or in this part of the park.

All events are offered free of charge to the public; however park entrance, parking, and/or day-use fees may apply.
