Fall Colors on the Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway

Sandi Pearce, local videographer and photographer captured this great video of the fall colors that can be seen over the Ebbetts Pass National Scenic Byway each autumn. The byway’s western end starts in Arnold, a pretty mountain town in Calaveras County and extends 61 miles to Markleeville in Alpine County. The route meanders over the crest of California’s Sierra Nevada Mountain range, through National Forest and wilderness areas with spectacular views of glacially carved valleys and granite outcroppings.
