Seasons in the Woods 5th Annual Craft Faire will be held at Independence Hall (otherwise known as the Ebbetts Pass Community Center), in Arnold, California. This year’s event will feature 16 booths of hand crafted items and refreshments available for purchase. Previous years vendors have included Independence Hall Quilters, crochet and knitted items, paper art, local authors, handwoven baskets, jewelry, holiday crafts, button art, homemade candies, jam and jellies, and floral designs.

Ready to get down, haunted mansion style? Join the ghouls down at Hotel Leger Restaurant & Saloon for a night of costumed fun featuring live music by the likes of The Kool Shifters and DJ Outlaw. Dress up to participate in the costume contest. (See-through contestants need not apply?). Admission is $5 per person or $8 per couple. 3. New Halloween Fun in Mountain Ranch – Haunt Walk, Harvest Fest, and Masquerade Ball

NEW EVENT: HAUNT WALK – Mountain Ranch, CA
Friday-Saturday and Tuesday, October 27th-28th & 31st | Admission Cost & Tour Times Below I Tours Begin at MRYA

The Mountain Ranch Youth Alliance and Resource Center (MRYA) will be hosting the Mountain Ranch Haunt Walk on the 27th, 28th and 31st. Join a guided tour to explore the haunted places in downtown Mountain Ranch–including interactive characters in costume. Have little ones in tow? There is a “Mildly Spooky” tour option for little ones from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Looking for something for the big kid in all of us? “More Spooky” tours (for the big kid in all of us) are available from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Tickets will be available at all three Haunt Walk events in the MRYA parking lot. Ticket pricing is $5 for 5-17 years, $10 Adults, and children under 5 years old are free.

Saturday October 28th | 10:00 am – 4:30 pm I Free Admission I Mountain Ranch Youth Alliance Resource Center

The Mountain Ranch Harvest Fest is a family-oriented event with entertainment, activities for the kids and adults, vendors and food. From 10AM to noon come enjoy fiddler Blake Ritter followed up by a noon bake sale. From 1PM to 4:30PM enjoy live music with Brian Jirka and The Cabby Band as well as a book signing with local author Jasmine Blair. Family friendly activities, vendors, and food will be on-going throughout the event.

Mountain Ranch Community Hall
Sponsored by the Mountain Ranch Community Club, the Mountain Ranch Masquerade Ball will be hosted at the Mountain Ranch Community Hall (click for directions). Featuring live entertainment from the Rusty Rockers, costumes will be optional, with plenty of masks available. Cost is $15, don’t forget to bring your own libation. Friday, October 27th | 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm I Free admission. All ages welcome. Live music, discounts, raffle, and costume contest details below. 
Calling all witches! Don your hats and gather your brood for our 2nd annual Downtown Murphys’ Witch Walk. From 5pm – 9pm, while you and your friends eat, drink, and shop at local businesses you’ll revel in wonderfully wicked treats, discounts, and prizes. Sign up to enter the costume raffle contest at the Potted Plum (find directions to the Potted Plum here). At 8pm, swing by the Lucky Penny Public House to enjoy live music, and raffles drawn for best hat, best broom, and best costume at 9pm! So dress to impress!

Saturday October 28th | 6:00 pm I Reservations required; details below I Ironstone Vineyards I

The annual large screen showing of the 1925 silent film era Phantom of the Opera is a classic Calaveras family movie night like no other. The cost for admittance is free for ages 5 and under and includes buffet, dessert and a popcorn with the show. Admission is $20 for ages 6-12 and $35 for 13-adults. This family friendly fun and unique movie night features accompanying live music by organist Dave Moreno on the Robert Morton Theatre Pipe Organ with live vocals performed by Linda Small. Event starts at 9:00 pm with entertainment, food and drinks available to purchase, as well as a raffle and costume contest. An interactive screening of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”  begins at midnight. From the venue: “This annual fundraising event is a raucous fun-filled evening that supports the Murphys Creek Theater efforts to create outstanding performances that engage our audiences as well as providing a chance to throw toast.  Prop bags will be available along with instructions on how to interact. There will also be a Halloween costume contest and raffle baskets to win! Tickets will be available starting on October 1, 2017. Come if you dare to a Halloween Fright at the Scary Story Party Night! Saturday, October 28. Starts at 5:30 pm at the San Andreas Main Library (click the link for address and directions). 6. Classic Calaveras Halloween Fun: Zip-line Pumpkin Smash

Saturday October 28th I 10:00 am to 4:00 pm I $45 per person/trip I Moaning Cavern Adventure Park,\
visitors will be able to drop a pumpkin from the zip line trying to hit targets on the ground while zipping up to 30 mph!  Entry fee to smash a pumpkin from the zip line is $45 per smash, same price as a regular zip line ticket, pumpkin included while pumpkin supplies last. All bullseye target winners get a FREE Zip Line ride as well as entry into a raffle to win 4 additional free zipline rides. Lucky winners will be announced by November 11th!  Keep an eye on the Moaning Cavern Facebook page to see who wins. Additional Details: Zip Line Pumpkin Smash registration is in the Moaning Cavern Visitors Center when you purchase your ticket.  Smashing begins at 10am and will continue until 4pm, registration to smash a pumpkin will be until 3:45pm.  Restrictions and waivers apply.
