This adorably quaint cafe in historic downtown Angels Camp has all the classic breakfast fixins–including the best biscuits and gravy in town. With great prices and huge servings, your wallet and your tummy will thank you! But make sure to grab a seat early, their killer fare is available until 2pm.
Looking for a breakfast joint with seating for a bigger crew? This cute family owned restaurant has very limited seating, so if you’re traveling with a large group, we recommend you check out Murphys Historic Hotel Restaurant or Hillbillies Restaurant in the nearby Murphys, California just 10 minutes away. At Hillbillies, your family could even dine in a covered wagon!

2. Family Friendly Eats – Yummy Ha! Ha! Ice cream
Looking for some deliciously decadent artisan ice cream to take the edge off those sunny California days? Look no further than Yummy Ha! Ha! Ice Cream in historic downtown Angels Camp. A great place to kick up your heels and enjoy the giggles sure to ensue.

3. Family Friendly Eats – Sugar Bakery
Let’s be honest, no road trip is complete until you find that one killer hidden gem of a bakery, and in our neck of the woods Sugar Bakery is definitely it. From bagels to scones, baker Kris fits a huge variety of goodies into this adorably tiny shop.
Not only does she offer baked goods, but she’s also recently added a great selection of fresh made grab and go breakfast and lunch options for something a little more substantial. Plus we love her super convenient location.
Situated in historic downtown Angels Camp, less than five minutes from the fairgrounds–her cinnamon rolls are hands down the best thing ever! Roadtrips can’t get much more family friendly than fresh baked goodies made with love.

4. Family Friendly Eats -Crusco’s Ristorante
Talk about memorable Italian food. With beautiful, casual atmosphere, this is a place where you can either take a breath and linger, or eat and run. This cozy laid back atmosphere also lends itself to becoming a new family favorite.
We regularly have visitors tell us they’ve come back to Angels Camp just to eat at Crusco’s one more time. Take a peek at Crusco’s authentic Italian menu and you’re sure to find family friendly dishes and deserts even the kids will love.

Here in Angels Camp, we are blessed with loads of great Mexican food. From La Hacienda, to Angel’s Mexican Kitchen, to Mary’s Taco Truck there’s an option for every palette. Even with so many options, Cascabel, the newest joint on the block, is shaking things up with a totally fun take on authentic Mexican cuisine.
