Hydration Stations throughout Calaveras County allow visitors the ability to receive free water fill-ups of their re-usable water bottles. As part of the Calaveras Visitors Bureau’s tourism sustainability program, Hop Lightly, this initiative aims to reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles, keeping our trails, wilderness areas and parks clean.
Participating businesses are providing tap water or water cooler fill-ups – no fancy, special water, just the water we all drink locally in Calaveras County which tends to be Sierra snow-melt (actually tastes really good).

Looking for a reusable water bottle? You can get started with our Hop Lightly stainless steel water bottles, available from the Calaveras Visitors Center in charming, downtown Angels Camp. Needless to say, the bottle comes with a free water fill-up.
