I grew up in the Gold Country, Northern California and currently reside there with my husband, our 2 beautiful children, 3 dogs and a cat! When I graduated from high school, I moved to LA and found an awesome career as a model and actress for a good 15 years. I learned so many insider secrets from some of the best photographers out there, one of them Ellen Von Unwerth (my favorite!!)
When I got pregnant with my daughter in 2004, I turned my attention to the OTHER side of the camera. I’ve always been fascinated with the use of light and that is one of my favorite things about being a photographer…finding the best light to flatter my subjects. I started out shooting a lot of fashion and glamour with my model and actor friends, headshots, etc.
When life took me to the Bahamas, I photographed beautiful landscapes, did a lot of ‘island hopping’ and my portfolio expanded. In 2006, I finally ended back where I started…Northern California! I love the country life and happen to be in a place where people love to get married. It is so charming and beautiful here.
I first resisted shooting weddings because I felt like it would be way too stressful. After photographing weddings for some personal friends, I started to realize how much I LOVE it! I always find myself tearing up behind my camera when the vows are being recited. There is always a sense of excitement in the air, and people are happy and joyous.
I primarily use my Canon 5D Mark 111 and my second shooter uses the Canon 30D DSL. We shoot with a variety of lenses to make sure to capture every important detail of your special day, whether it be your wedding, engagement, portrait or boudoir shoot!
