New Hogan Lake camping, picnicking and RV sites are well designed to give beautiful views of the lake. There are 207 campsites available for reservation at three campgrounds: Acorn, Oak Knoll & Deer Flat with boat-in camping, plus one group campground that can accommodate up to 50 people, called Coyote Point.
While here, you can enjoy disc golf at an 18-hole course, play, swim, fish and boat on the lake – life jackets are available to borrow from the Winkle Cove Day use Area and the Fiddleneck Recreation Area. Boat launching is available at four public boat launch areas.
Bring your pooch – pets must be kept on a 6ft leash. While camping, enjoy 50 miles of shoreline. Consider making reservations far in advance to camp for Fireworks over New Hogan on a weekend close to 4th July. The reflections in the lake make this show absolutely magical.
Be sure to get out on this beautiful, 4,400 acre lake, fed by the Calaveras River. Get full information on all there is to see and do on New Hogan.
While you’re here, please follow our Hop Lightly guidelines to observe Leave no Trace principles, to help keep Calaveras beautiful and keep you and your family safe. Related links: New Hogan Lake | Other local lakes you can camp at: Lake Camanche | Pardee Lake
