Calaveras Visitors Center

753 S Main St, Angels Camp

Monday – Saturday: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
Sunday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Calaveras Visitors Bureau is located inside the Angels Camp Museum and is your go-to for information about all there is to see and do in Angels Camp, Calaveras County, the Gold Country and High Sierra. We are here to help you have an amazing time in this beautiful region, creating memories to last a lifetime.

We’ll tailor our suggestions to your interests and give you inside information known only by locals. Want to know why we’re all about the frogs? Here’s where you can hear the whole story. Want to know which local restaurants are hosting events this week, or where to go for free music in the parks?  We can help you!

Our free, magazine-quality Calaveras Visitors Guide also gives you great area information including maps, history and guides to all of the top things to see and do. If you’re traveling the region, you may want to pick up maps and guides to Yosemite, the Gold Country, High Sierra and all of our neighboring counties.

The visitors center also includes a retail space where frog lovers go crazy for our wide variety of frog merchandise, and visitors can pick up fun souvenirs, postcards and locally produced items like honey, soap and greeting cards. We also stock books on local history, Mark Twain’s stories, games and toys, angels (because we’re Angels Camp), gold panning equipment and gold vials.

If you’re a squished penny collector, you can get your pennies squished here, and you can also pick up a book to store your collection.
