When: Friday, December 6th at 5:00 pm
Where: Main Street, Murphys
What: Murphys village closes Main Street for pedestrians to amble through shops, savor chestnuts roasting, listen to Christmas music wafting through town, warm up next to fire pits and chat with friends, and just enjoy everything charming about a down home Christmas. Park at the Murphys Creek Theatre across from Murphys Park.

Valley Springs Christmas Tree Lighting, Parade, & Craft Fair

When: December 6th & 7th – 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm; 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: Highway 26 & Highway 12; and 300 Daphne, Valley Springs (Jenny Lind Veterans Hall)
What: Santa visits Valley Springs on December 6th and kicks off the Christmas season by lighting the town’s Christmas tree! Hot chocolate, wood fired pizza, and live music add to all the festivity. The next day, the Christmas Craft Fair begins at 9:00 am with the community Christmas parade at 10:00 am down Daphne St.

When: December 7th, 12:00 – 6:00 pm
Where: Downtown Angels Camp, Highway 49
What: Ready for a Gold Country Christmas? All of the shops will be open later to start shopping for one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts special to Angels Camp or catch a movie at the Angels Camp Theater. Many shops will have special appetizers and live music to help you get into the holiday spirit.  Come enjoy a true hometown Christmas celebration! Visit with Santa from 12:00 – 4:00 at 1239 South Main Street (Next Home Properties). Then the lighted parade will head down the highway at 5:00 pm from St. Patrick’s Church.

Columbia Big Band

Where: Calaveras Performing Arts Center
What: Ovations Performing Arts Series is kicking off with a holiday concert by the Columbia Big Band. Tickets will be available online calaverasarts.org and at the door.

Caroling & Candy Canes

What: ‘Tis the season for free family fun in the spirit of the holidays! Enjoy caroling, candy canes, warming fires, refreshments, and the tree lighting ceremony on historic Main Street.

What: Tractor rides to Santa’s Workshop, Horseback rides, S’mores by the fire, Ornament decorating, Hot Chocolate & TACOS!
