1. Angels Camp Certified Farmers Market

WHEN: 5pm to dusk, every Friday May 24th through mid-September
WHERE: Utica Park, Highway 49 (Main Street) in Angels Camp
WHAT: The certified Angels Camp Farmers Market takes community fun to the next level. With loads of organic locally grown produce, artisan goods and food trucks, the Angels Camp Farmers Market invites you to experience more self-care fun with all ages, craft tables and vendors offering massage and yoga as well. Year round fixtures in Angels Camp’s beautiful Utica Park include a playground for little ones, shaded picnic benches, and a bustling artisan scene, making the certified Angels Camp Farmers Market near historic downtown Angels Camp the place to be Fridays from 5pm to dusk. Set in the well-shaded and lush Utica Park, the Angels Camp Farmers Market features live music and a different highlighted winery attending each week. Including over 30 vendors, from produce and crafts, to food from local restaurants, and food trucks this is one social gathering you won’t want to miss. Not ready for the party to end? After the market closes, live music and/or special discounts and treats are available at alternating locations in historic downtown Angels Camp.
WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR: Managed by new Angels Camp Farmers Market manager Sarah Wiebe, the certified Angels Camp Farmers market has many of last year’s favorites as well as new food truck vendors, new artisans, new craft activities for kids and a vendor offering massage and yoga lessons–now that’s the perfect way to unwind!

2. CalaverasGROWN Certified Farmers Market

WHEN: Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm, June 13th through October 31st 2019.  We hope our changes will help with your weekly shopping. It all begins starting June 13th. We accept EBT and WIC!
WHERE: San Andreas in the UCCE Master Gardeners Demo Garden at 891 Mountain Ranch Road.
WHAT: One of the things that sets this certified farmers market apart (in addition to all of the classic farmers market fixings) is the free children’s activities, gorgeous educational garden setting for you to explore, and abundance of plants for sale. This is a great place to shop, play, and learn. On the second Thursday each month, the CalaverasGrown farm-stand turns into a full blown party with members of the Calaveras band ‘Vintage Vibrations’ entertaining visitors with live jazz, swing and Dixieland performances. Wondering what can you find at this Calaveras certified farmers market? Fresh vegetables & herbs, olive oil, honey, jams, mustards, locally raised eggs, national award-winning locally roasted coffee, fresh flowers, ornamental, vegetable and herb plants, soaps, lotions, body butters and more. EBT and WIC is accepted. 
WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR: By popular demand, this year the monthly market will still take place on the second Thursday, featuring all the vendors, a band with music, kid’s activities and more. In the other weeks they will have a smaller certified market/farm stand with products from several of their producers at the same time of 4pm to 6pm. that will be open weekly and include a a pick-up option for special orders.

3. Mountain Ranch Community Market

WHEN: Every 2nd and 4th Saturday June through September 9am-12pm
WHERE: 7869 Whiskey Slide Rd. Mountain Ranch Park in Mountain Ranch, CA. 
WHAT:  Explore the vibrant art and culture community of rural Mountain Ranch at their bi-weekly Community Market. Featuring local artisans such as Brownell Ceramics, and Leaping Lavender among others, this farmers market features hyper local artisan goods, delicious locally made eats, face painting, family fun, live music, and of course loads of fresh produce. This community market may be off the beaten path, but the resilient spirit and talent of this rural community makes this hidden market well worth the drive. 4. Murphys Farmers Market – New Market

WHEN: June 23rd to October 20th 
WHERE: Murphys Community Park in Murphys, CA.
WHAT: Welcoming our newest certified farmers market to Calaveras this 2019 farmers market season, is the certified Murphys Farmers Market. Offering locally grown produce, hand-crafted artisan goods, community workshops, live music, and freshly made food and beverages in the idyllic Murphys Community Park. This sweet location features a playground, is well shaded, with numerous picnic benches, a gazebo, public restrooms, and a stream that adults children, and dogs love to play in during the warmer days, with the local library just across the stream. Come checkout the inaugural event kick off June 23rd and stay tuned for pictures and videos to come.

5. Outer Aisle Thriving (Every Other) Thursdays

WHERE: Less than 5 minutes west of downtown Murphys, Outer Aisle Farm Stand at 164 Highway 4, Murphys CA
WHAT: An upscale certified farm stand, caterer and bi-weekly event venue, Outer Aisle is a great place to build community. Offering locally grown produce every other Thursday from noon to 7pm, as well as food, wine, beer, family-friendly activities, and an open mic from 5pm to 8pm the same day. Within walking distance of the location where most of the food is grown, this year-round indoor local produce market and catering outfit is not only a local treasure but a slice of Calaveras foodie history. Farmers Christine and Eric Taylor pioneered organic farming in Calaveras County in the early 90s seeding certified farmers markets throughout the county and educating aspiring gardeners. At the height of their growing season, the Taylors are well known for having more variety on their small, two-acre farm than can be found at the average farmers market. Make sure to check in regularly for a chance to stock up on Eric’s legendary Vogliotti heirloom tomatoes and onions which have been grown in Calaveras County for over 100 years.

6. Saturday Market at the Square at Copper Valley – Copperopolis, CA

WHEN: Saturdays from 8:00am to 11:00am on the dates of June 1st, June 29th, July 27th, August 3rd, & August 31st.
WHERE: The Square at Copper Valley in Copperopolis, CA
WHAT: Although this is not a certified farmers market, if you get a kick out of supporting local farms, you can verify which vendors are sharing verified Calaveras farm goods and products by visiting the Calaveras Grown resource guide. Feel like you’re strolling through the set of a nostalgic movie in the super charming Square at Copper Valley as you enjoy laughing children, good music and tasty treats. Featuring  fresh fruit and veggies, flowers, home decor, jams and jellies, baked goods, kettle corn, handmade soaps, candles, apparel, honey and much more.  While you’re there, make sure to duck into one of the cute shops and restaurants that surround the square such as Yummy Ha! Ha! Ice Cream, Griff’s BBQ & GrillCopper Valley Cafe, Gold Dust Pizza or Tipsy Frog Wine Bar. Do the kids want to duck out of the heat? Drop them off within walking distance of the festivities at Epic Worlds and Games where they can enjoy air conditioning, order a pizza, and try out all sorts of cool video games and board games for free.

7. Zimmerman’s Hilltop Market

WHERE: 1453 Highway 49, San Andreas, CA
WHAT: This quaint family owned and operated business features flowers exploding with vibrant colors year round, as well as a smaller selection of produce on a first-come first-serve basis including berries, stone fruit, vegetables, and more.
