Feeney Park is a non-profit community multi-use recreational facility open to the public during daylight hours, year round. Here you can enjoy plenty of casual recreation including a 9-hole disc golf course, walking trails, picnic areas, skate park and amphitheater. The park is also home to local little leagues and soccer leagues and provides game and practice fields for football, softball and soccer. To apply for use of the park for sports or special events, download the park use policies form.

The Feeney Park Foundation presents a popular annual fundraising biking event benefiting local youth sports, while showing off the beautiful biking terrain in Calaveras County. Mr. Frog’s Wild Ride takes place in April, features a 50 K ride and a 100 K ride and culminates in a barbecue with live music at the end of the day.

What, if anything, can you tell me about the Feeney family and especially the lady who donated the first few acres to the project?

    • Hello Anne,
I would contact the local museum for information about anything historical in nature. Here is the number to The Old Timer’s Museum in Murphys…209-728-1160. They are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12-4pm. I hope this helps! Have fun researching the history of the area!
