Bear Valley Music Festival

Join Maestro Mickelthwate and the Bear Valley Festival Orchestra as they embark on a breathtaking musical journey from the operatic passion of Italy to the cinematic majesty of the American West. The Columbia College Choir joins the festival orchestra for powerful cinematic works by Ennio Morricone, followed by the virtuosic and theatrical Paganini’s Violin Concerto No. 2 performed by violinist Yiyang Hou. The afternoon culminates in Respighi’s spectacular symphonic poem Pines of Rome, a radiant and triumphant orchestral showpiece.
