Big Trees State Park – Optical Astronomy Nights

As the spring season starts to take off, so do our spring and summer programs. First up: astronomy nights!

The first astronomy night program of the year will be an Optical Astronomy Night! Join us at the scenic overlook on May 16th at 8:30pm. You bring a chair and a blanket, we’ll bring the telescopes, and together we’ll explore the night sky! Can’t make it to that one? No problem! We’ll be hosting a total of nine Optical Astronomy Nights throughout the summer, so there should be plenty of opportunities to make it to another one.

But that’s not all! Starting in June, we’ll also be hosting Night Skies with Doc Nancy! Meet at the scenic overlook for an evening under the stars when science, myths, and stories will bring the night sky down to you! There are only five of these programs scheduled for this summer, but…
