Meet the Band:

Tonja Peterson – Vocalist, harmonizer, and cajon percussionist with roots deep in the Sierra Foothills. Tonja’s heartfelt performances are infused with passion, positivity, and a love for music that’s truly off the grid!

Steve Gorman – Master of lead guitar and pedal steel, Steve’s dynamic range spans jazz scales to blues riffs, plus a healthy dose of onstage humor.

Ron Schaner – Bassist, sound mixer, and high-energy performer. A cornerstone of the Sierra Nevada music scene, Ron also helps bring the Summer Concert Series to life!

Josh Certo – The band’s precision-driven drummer, keeping the groove tight with style and flair.

Ras “Beeken” Dan – Known as the “Musical Multi-Tool,” Beeken is the founder and executive director of the Murphys School of Music. A master of reed and wind instruments—from saxophone to flute, clarinet to harmonica—he plays with both passion and purpose. Based in Murphys, Beeken has performed internationally with reggae, world beat, jazz, rock, and blues greats, yet remains humbled and loves inspiring every child who takes a lesson from Mr. B!
